Research Statement and Interests
Adriana’s research intersects and thinks with diverse curriculum scholars and philosophies. In particular, her work intercepts and thinks with the philosophies of Deleuze and Guattari in order to explore what it might mean to engage with place and difference differently in a digital-techno society that is everyday restricting both notions of place and belonging in contemporary public and educational spaces.
Her many research interests revolve around migrant, minoritized, marginalized, and racialized population tensions and subjectivity impacts as they are represented and felt in digital media and educational spaces/places; an in situ, as singularity critical media ethics for online education; a multi-modal literacy education; anti-racist education; im/migrant-settler-Indigenous relations in place; and, a desire infused methods for online research practice.
